What You Need to Know Before Our Visit

After you have verified that your pool is leaking you will have to make sure that the pool is ready for inspection and leak detection.

First client needs to confirm that the water in the pool is clear with no green algae or dirt in it.

You need to be able to clearly see the screws on the bottom drains (if applicable) or the bottom of the deep end very clearly. If visibility is not good, please inform the pool inspector and clear the water before our visit.

It will be additional cost for visits that couldn’t perform leak detection due to water clarity.

If water is clear, clients have to make sure that the water is on the proper level for our visit. (Half way of the Skimmer Box)

If water level is below the leak, we will not be able to find and pin point the leak.

Pool Leak Detection LLC is responsible only for the area that has water. To avoid any additional charges, have the water at the proper operational level (Half way of the Skimmer Box).

Have clear access to the pool area and remove any floating accessories from the pool. The inspector is not required to move furnishings or stored items.

Please Note that we will need access to a power source.

The rest is on us!

Give us a smile and we promise you a quality job and great results!

Leak Detection

For Above Ground Pools we will check the equipment and all the connections around the components for potential leaks. If the area is dry, we will check perimetrically around the pool for any indication of a leak (Muddy spot around the pool). After our quick check up we will use an ultrasound device to check any openings on the liner.

Diving

Our experienced certified divers will scan the whole surface of the body of the pool (liner, concrete, fiberglass) and all the components of the pool for any openings.  Also, we will dye test any potential holes or cracks and all the connections of the components of the pool. (Around skimmer boxes, return jets, pool lights, main drains, hydrostatic valves, steps or/and ladders)

Pressure Test

We conduct pressure tests for the plumbing system of your pool if necessary. This allows us to ensure that the plumbing lines are working fine and are not the cause of the leak. With the combination of water and air and the usage of an ultrasound device, we will be able to pinpoint the leak underground if the area above the lines is clear from obstacles (deck, buildings, features, etc.).

Liner Repair

If we find a leak in your vinyl liner pool, our next step is to fix that leak after your permission. We will repair (if repairable) any leak we find on the liner with the best quality of liner patch. Every repair is different depending on the reason behind the leakage. We are equipped to deal with all kinds of possible scenarios.

A pool inspection includes a lot of different aspects. Before you get a pool inspection done, ask your inspector what is included in their inspection of the pool. Pool Inspection varies depending on the kind, structure, size of the pool and/or spa and its components.
