Leak Detection Process

What do expect when you hire Pool Leak Detection LLC to check the pool for a leak.

For Above Ground Pools we will check the equipment and all the connections around the components for potential leaks.

If the area is dry, we will check perimetrically around the pool for any indication of a leak. (Mudy spot around the pool)

After our quick check-up, we will use an Ultrasound device to check any openings on the liner.

Finally, we will set up our professional diving equipment and we will scan the whole surface of the liner and all the components of the pool for any holes or tears.

We will take pictures or/and video of the leak/s if needed.

We will inform you about the leaks and if they are reparable, we will perform the repair after your permission.

Lastly, we will repair (if repairable) any leak we find on the liner with the best quality of liner patch.

We guarantee that we will find all the leaks, and if we don’t, we will check the pool again with no extra visit cost. (You might receive Only a Repair Cost).

Leak detection time expectancy with diving and repair is between 1-2 hrs.

For Inground Pools with or not Spa attached, we will check the plumping system and run the system. We will check for any openings around the connections of the equipment.

Note any leaks and move on the Pool or Spa area.

We will walk and perform a visual check around the pool or/and spa area for any indication of a leak.

Utilizing the newest ultrasound device in the industry we will check the:

  • suction lines (Skimmers, Main Drains, Vacuum line, or wall drains if applicable)
  • the Return lines
  • Pool Lights
  • Face Plate of Steps (if applicable)
  • The area around the seam (if liner pools)

We will perform static pressure on the pipelines using professional leak detection plugs.

The next step is to dive and check the whole body of the pool for any openings. (Holes, Tears, Cracks)

We will dye test any potential holes or cracks on the body and all the connections of the components of the pool. (Around skimmer boxes, return jets, pool lights, main drains, hydrostatic valves, steps or/and ladders)

We will take pictures or/and video of the leak/s if needed.

We will inform you about the leaks and if they are reparable, we will perform the repair after your permission.

If there is a leak on the pipelines, we will perform a Pressure Test to verify the leak.

With the combination of water and air and the usage of ultrasound devices, we will be able to pinpoint the leak.

We guarantee that we will find all the leaks, and if we don’t, we will check the pool again with no extra visit cost. (You might receive Only a Repair Cost).
